I had an excellent time working at the practice and was well-supported by all the staff throughout my time there. Dr Raya was able to teach me some more advanced skin procedures and also solidify my knowledge of skin cancer medicine. Complete Health at Crossways was a great GP for me to complete my placement as a Medical Student. I sat in on consultations where I was exposed to many different patient stories, was involved in examinations and spent time performing many important clinical skills, including immunisations and health checks with the practice nurse. The staff were all lovely, welcoming and took the time to teach me heaps, and answer my many questions! I had a lot of fun on placement, and learnt a lot, so would recommend this practice for any student or staff on the Central Coast!

I had heard about Light Therapy before but had no idea it could be used for mood therapy. I spent 20 minutes lying under the Omnilux Light Therapy and it felt like I was lying in the sun on a beautiful tropical island. The effects of COVID 19 have been very stressful for many people, and after working lots of hours, to just take some time out and enjoy the heat of the light therapy was wonderful and very relaxing. I would recommend this treatment for anyone to reduce their stress and improve their mood…..

I’ve had the opportunity to get involved with treatments and observe consultations spanning from children to retirement villages, and the experience has been valuable in understanding patient experiences. “It has been a pleasure for me to have done my GP placement at the Complete Health At Crossways. Despite being a small practice with only a GP and a GP registrar, I still got plenty of opportunities for learning. There is a wide range of services provided ranging from skin checks and skin biopsies/ excisions to managing chronic diseases. The GP practice caters to people of all ages, from new born to elderly patients. The staff are really welcoming students into the team. I was hoping to do some hands on wit procedures. However, due to COVID, we had very few patients coming in for procedures. This would be a good practice for future medical students aspiring to consider General Practice as a career prospect.”
